Marine mammals VSC lab it’s an exciting course where students venture with our marine science instructors to get up close and personal with whales, dolphins, seals and sea lions.

Students gain an understanding of how to classify and identify various species of cetaceans and pinnipeds. They discover the migration routes of gray whales, they’re feeding and breeding behaviors as well as interesting and fun facts about these friendly whales. Discussion regarding marine mammal conservation issues imparts information students can do from home to help with efforts to save whales and dolphins (see full description and curriculum standards).
